Princess Kamalavati of Magadh is generally considered to be unfortunate owing to her feet being flat. Her mother therefore desires that Kamala should be betrothed to lucky prince Malang but her father is in favour of Ambrish who is the heir to the throne of Ayodhya. In view of this, Kamala takes the responsibility for choice on herself and goes to Ayodhya. She lays her dagger meant for betrothal before the feet of prince Ambrish. Ambrish is a great devotee and is always absorbed in meditation of God.

Taking advantage of Prince Ambrish's weakness in being a devotee, Malang, who is his stepbrother, plans day and night to capture the throne. Banker Laxminandan who is a friend of Malang, tries to see that Malang gets the throne so that he may get the Prime Ministership. In the meanwhile, the King of Ayodhya proclaims his desire to crown Ambrish as the King and of becoming himself an ascetic. Hearing this, the Maharani, Malang and Laxminandan are enraged and they become the most hated enemies of Prince Ambrish. Malang and Laxminandan instigate the hot-tempered Saint Durvasa by misrepresenting to him that Prince Ambrish is proud of his devotion and considers the penance of other saints inferior and slanders them. Saint Durvasa loses his temper and pronounces a curse, consequently the whole kingdom is overtaken by famine and the subjects pine for food. Believing that this is due to the ill-luck of Kamalavati, the Maharani orders to exile her.

What happens to Kamalavati? Whether Malang acquired the throne or not? What havoc was created by the curse of Durvasa? Witness everything on the Silver Screen.
